Luminaries in Lakemont 2010

Just wanted to share with you some sub par pictures of the luminaries lining the streets of our neighborhood last night. Although the pictures are lame, at least you get the idea. We had a great time at the Dana's making smores around the fire pit and having hot chocolate and spiced apple cider.  Although it was quite cold, there was easy conversation with neighbors and watching the kids chase each other in the front yard reminded me how blessed we are to have moved here.

Thanks Danas for being such great hosts and thanks Lakemont for proving simple family fun still exists.

Take a few hundred of these,

line the street in front of your home,

create a Christmas card affect,

and acknowledge the beauty of the best luminary possible
and you have the makings of a great night.

  1. Beth - I completely agree about this neighborhood. We all really lucked out. My mom says that every time she comes over - she says it is like a neighborhood out of the 50s - kids outside playing, neighbors that wave and know each other, wholesome, nice families. I truly feel blessed to live here too. Thank you to you, the breadwinner and the pint size helper for helping make The Trace (and the whole hood) a wonderful place to live!
