one order of rustic, comfortable and gorgeous, please.

Now, I don't mean to brag but I may have ANOTHER client, my cousin. She and her family have just put this house under contract and decorating discussions have already begun.  She's got great ideas for what she wants to do but plans to see how this house really "lives" before making any significant changes. So practical.  Well, she and I are putting our heads together to figure out how to take this.....

To something like this....

What?  This could happen? This could be my new "ideal".  Suzanne Kasler created this living room and it's perfection, in my opinion.  The chandelier, the rustic mantle, the white upholstered pieces, the mirror on mirror above the mantle, the dark floors, the subtle floor covering, a mix of color and pattern between the drapes and the pillows and even the birch logs in the fireplace. Did I mention I love this room? Okay, so just because it's my ideal doesn't mean it has to be my cousin's, but at least it provides elements we could recreate to take the 80's living room to something current.

Last but not least, take a look at the kitchen designed by Carole Weaks of C. Weaks Interiors. May we all have a moment of silence?
